Winners of Henley's Greenshoots Seed Finance Awards celebrate with the Chancellor

Henley Business School celebrated the entrepreneurial success of its student and alumni founders at the Greenshoots Seed Finance Award Scheme on 17 June 2026. The event saw University of Reading Chancellor Paul Lindley OBE present three ventures with £5,000 seed funding awards and tailored mentoring support to help accelerate their growth. 

The winning businesses – KIGOInTheBusiness, and stats.cc – were recognised for their innovation, commercial potential and positive impact, showcasing the breadth of entrepreneurial talent supported through Henley Enterprise Lab (HELAB). 

The Winners 

KIGO, founded by Moria Bennett, is an AI-powered platform designed to make the school run safer, more sustainable and less stressful for families, schools and local authorities. 

InTheBusiness, founded by Harrison Turner, is a media brand inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs through podcast production, YouTube channel management and social media content. 

stats.cc, founded by George Miles, provides advanced data analytics that help gamers improve performance through actionable insights. 

Moria Bennett founder of KIGO said: "I'll be honest, the founder journey is tough, and on the hard days even your 'why' can blur. Greenshoots gave me energy exactly when I needed it, bringing mine back into focusTo any founder hesitating, apply."  

Speaking at the event, Chancellor Paul Lindley OBE said: 

"I was delighted to present the £5,000 awards and hear the founders’ pitches. I was enthused by their passion, impressed by their focus, and struck by their grit, determination and emotional maturity. I’m proud of Moira, Harrison and George, and of the University for nurturing entrepreneurial talent through a pioneering curriculum that enables students to spend their final year developing their own businesses." 

The awards, sponsored by Santander Universities, reflect Henley Business School’s commitment to helping entrepreneurs develop innovative businesses that deliver both commercial and societal impact.
