The Robert D Pearce Prize
The new year sees the launch of the Robert D Pearce Prize, a student award honouring the legacy of the late Professor Robert D Pearce, a world-renowned scholar with particular interest in the socio-economic field. Professor Pearce was Professor of International Business Emeritus of the John H Dunning Centre for International Business, Henley Business School, and Department of Economics, University of Reading, where he inspired and supported many students and colleagues.
The Prize, sponsored by a Fund set up by an individual close to Robert, is intended to support ideas in the field of sustainable development, an area in which he was very passionate. In particular, consideration for an award will be given to students who, through their thesis or dissertation, demonstrate clear progress in advancing themes around International Business and Sustainable Development, Innovation on Sustainable Development, ecology and conservation, or a focus on any of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students of Henley Business School and the wider University of Reading, whether undergraduates, graduates or PhD researcher, will qualify for the award.
You can learn more about the prize at the link below, as well as contribute to its funding.
