Celebrating 75 Indian achievers who have studied in the UK on India's 75th anniversary
To mark India’s 75th anniversary of independence, the NISAU UK is working with the British Council in India to celebrate 75 U.K. Indian alumni who have made an important contribution to their profession and society.
The initiative is in partnership also with the UK Government's Department for International Trade, as well as key UK Higher Education sector representative organisations, including Universities UK International, UK Council of International Student Affairs, Chevening, BUILA, London Higher and QS. Nominations opened worldwide on 12 October and the deadline for applications is 10th November 2022 23:59 GMT.
Henley Business School is looking for alumni who would like to be nominated for this. If you are interested, we will handle the nomination for you, completing the application on your behalf. All you have to do is register your interest with us by EOP Friday 28th October, providing a paragraph explaining how you meet the criteria along with your CV. The application
Along with gathering basic information including educational details, nominees must fit the following criteria:
- The nominee has studied in the UK at an officially recognised UK higher education institution at certificate level or above OR awarded a full UK degree level qualification (or higher), awarded by a recognised UK HEI, outside the UK.
- The nominee will be aged below 49 on 15th August 2023.
- The nominee was an Indian citizen at the time of commencing his/her UK studies.
Application supporting information:
-Tell us your story - where and how did your journey begin? What does your career look like today? How did your UK education influence you as an individual and your career?
-Please provide an outline of your accomplishments and contributions within your respective profession and industry. Include distinctive highlights that demonstrate measurable impact to showcase your achievement footprint. This can include any ground-breaking research; awards/ nominations; landmark cases or interventions, successful start-ups, press coverage, etc.
Please ensure you include a wide range of evidence to support your answers e.g., quantitative, qualitative, testimonials and statistics from e.g. Google analytics and social media platforms where appropriate.
-How did your UK education help you in your life journey?
-How have you used your knowledge and skills to contribute to your community, society or country beyond your professional obligations?
-Please provide details of any alumni networks / mentoring programmes in your alma mater or any other educational establishment in India, UK or elsewhere that you are involved in? Would you be willing to participate in such programmes in the future?
-Please write a short bio. This may be used in public communications.
