Fundraising for Pathways to Property - Oxford Properties does Dodgeball

Early in September of 2021 Oxford Properties assembled teams to compete in a Dodgeball tournament aimed at supporting and generating funds for the Reading Real Estate Foundations widening participation scheme, Pathways to Property. Luckily for the teams competing the weather held off and a fantastic £2,700 was raised by all the participants to support Pathways activities.

Oxford Properties have been long supporters of Pathways, read below why Oxford Properties supports this initiative, and their future commitment to continue their support to make careers in Real Estate accessible to all.

Oxford Properties firmly believes that an inclusive and diverse team is crucial to maintaining our strong culture. Given the inaccessibility of the real industry for many students, Oxford Properties has supported Pathways to Property for over ten years, since the opening of our European headquarters in London, with corporate sponsorship, internship positions for summer school students, and encouraging individuals to volunteer and participate in mentoring schemes.

Emerging out of lockdown and into summer, Oxford Properties chose to host a dedicated fundraising event for the first time. The team ran a Dodgeball Tournament for the employees, with individuals providing donations in order to form a team and enter the tournament. Most of the team is already involved with Pathways, however the tournament was a great way to celebrate being back together, in the outdoors, and raise money for a great cause.

The event was a huge success with excellent participation across the team and a total of £2,700 raised. Oxford Properties hopes to make the Dodgeball Fundraiser an annual event, so that we can continue to support Pathways to Property in every way we can.
