Spring into Property

Published on April 21, 2023

The first Pathways to Property online Spring into Property (SiP) took place on 4th April.  Ten young people (current year 12 students) participated in this online one day event in full, experiencing project work, a virtual online site visit, insight from professionals within the industry, and a talk from a careers expert.  Having participated in the SiP, participating students will be able to take advantage of the other opportunities offered by the Pathways to Property programme, including work experience, e-mentoring with current students and can apply for bursaries should they go on to study a Real Estate related course at university.

As with all Pathways to Property events, the support from professionals within the industry was key to ensuring activities delivered on the day were impactful.  A big thank you to staff from Savills, Hollis, Carter Jonas and GCW for their support and participation in the event.  Feedback comments from participants in the SiP day included ‘the project part in groups gave me the confidence to present in front of many people and work well with people I don’t know’ and ‘I really enjoyed it’.

Going forward, future Spring into Property online events, combined with the one day regional Insight Days, and the four day residential at Henley Business School, University of Reading, give young people a range of ways to engage in Pathways to Property activities which suit them, from which they can find out more about the industry and be supported on their pathway into their future career.
