RREF Student Support Fund 2023

Published on April 20, 2023

A fundamental belief shared by our community is that every young person should have the opportunity to fulfil their potential, regardless of individual circumstances. We strive to ensure that personal situations do not lead to undue hardship and that the same opportunities are available to all students with the talent and ability to study in the Department of Real Estate & Planning at Reading.

An increasing number of students need financial help due to the cost-of-living crisis and the drop in value of student maintenance support, as reported by the Financial Times. We want to ensure that we continue to be able to provide support whenever it is needed, be it through the RREF hardship fund or larger bursaries. This is why we will shortly be launching a campaign to raise the funds that will enable us to fulfil this ambition.

By choosing to give to RREF’s Greatest Need Fund, you are helping to ensure that academically talented students are not alienated and will have the opportunity be part of the future of the industry. We have already raised 80% of our £85,000 target and with your contribution and the collective generosity of our community we hope to be able to reach it by the end of the academic year.
